Embracing Faith Through Prayer
We have the privilege to seek our heavenly father in prayer about his plan, our desires, guidance, and for help. A wise woman once told me that God cares about even the smallest things in our lives. Take everything to him in prayer. He wants to be a part of your life. Prayer is not a ritual; it is a heartfelt conversation with God, allowing us to share our joys, sorrows, and hopes. As we gather in prayer, we not only create a community of support and love, but we also make room for God to change hearts and circumstances. Let us embrace the power of prayer and encourage one another daily.
In the book of Acts, Acts 1:14 says, “They all met together and were constantly united in prayer, along with Mary the mother of Jesus, several other women, and the brothers of Jesus.” Now, I am not a theologian, but this tells me that there is Power in Prayer, and no matter who you are, you still need it. In this chapter, they are all waiting for Jesus’ promise to be fulfilled, and they aren’t sitting around waiting for it to happen. They are seeking God with community. I hope that you and I can build a community that not only serves God but also each other as well. We are never alone in our struggles, though it may feel that way sometimes. If you ever find yourself wallowing in those feelings, I want you to open your mouth and ask God for help. Talk to him about your struggles, feelings of loneliness, seclusion, or exclusion, and by faith allow him to minister to you. Trust me, I have been there before.
Something to remember?
Let’s not make prayer a chore; let’s do it with joy. I know there are societal pressures that make us feel like we should sound a certain way when we pray. I am here to tell you that yes, there are things that I have learned about prayer, and I will share them in this blog. I believe that God just wants to hear from you and wants to be included in the many things you consume yourself with daily. Matthew 6:33 “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.”
